MINOT, N.D. – Minot State University continued to add to its 2012 recruiting class, adding four more student-athletes to Institutional Letters of Intent to join the Beavers this fall, the school announced Monday.
MSU signed two wide receivers in Houston, Texas standout
Chase Kimble and North Ogden, Utah, wide receiver/tight end
Brad Boswell as well as offensive lineman Joshua Farmer (Minot, N.D.) and safety
Marcel Brinson (Gilroy, Calif.).
The Beavers have now signed 22 players for the start of the 2012 season – MSU's first in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference – as Minot State is bringing in 16 freshmen and six transfer student-athletes.
North Dakota (1)
Joshua Farmer, Fr., 6-foot-3, 330, Offensive Line, Minot, N.D. (Glenburn High School)
Farmer was named to the All-Region team three times and the North Dakota All-State team twice in his career at Glenburn High School. He also played basketball and baseball for Glenburn.
California (1)
Marcel Brinson, Fr., 6-foot, 185, Safety, Gilroy, Calif. (Palma High School)
Brinson earned first team All-League and All-County honors for Palma High School. He was named team Most Valuable Player and was also named to the honorable mention All-State team following an 82-tackle senior season.
Texas (1)
Chase Kimble, Fr., 6-foot-1, 175, Wide Receiver, Houston, Texas (Westbury Christian High School)
Kimble is a three-year letter winner in football and a four-year letter winner in baseball for Westbury Christian High School. He was named to the All-District team three times and the All-State team twice. Kimble broke the school's career receiving touchdown record (23) as well as the school's career interception record (18). He finished his senior season with 52 receptions for 1,063 yards and 10 TDs as well as three interceptions on defense.
Utah (1)
Brad Boswell, Fr., 6-foot-2, 190, Tight End/Wide Receiver, North Ogden, Utah (Weber High School)
Boswell was named to the first team All-Region Utah 5A following a solid senior season. He was also named the Weber High School 2011 Offensive Player of the Year award. Boswell competed in football and track & field for Weber.
