Hammer Time

Minot State’s Alex Boyeff break hammer throw record
eclipsing the six-year old mark of Tony Fugelberg by nearly 10 feet, heaving the hammer 140-feet-0. According to Boyeff, all of the credit for the record should go to assistant coach Blake Corneliusen. While the Beavers haven't had much time to work outdoors, it was Corneliusen's work with Boyeff that paid off.  For the entire story click the title for the MInot Daily News article.

MSU Baseball Signs Three

Minot State University head baseball coach Brock Weppler headed north of the border for a trio of standouts as the Beavers signed Anthony Friesen, Jordan Gilmour and Cole Stober, the university an-nounced Saturday.  Friesen and Stober are pitchers, while Gilmour is an outfielder.  For the story in its entirety click the title to head the the Minot Daily News.

Crosby Stays Close to Home

MSU signs Minot High star Andrew Crosby to letter of intent.  Crosby, who prepped at Minot High School, decided Wednesday to stay close to Minot as he signed a letter of intent to continue his intercollegiate athletic career at Minot State University. Crosby, a Class A All-State selection in 2008, joins Mr. Basketball and two-time Class B All-State Cameron Malzer as the Beavers' first two announced recruits. Crosby averaged 18 points and six rebounds per game for the Magicians this past season.
