Swain Hall
Built it the 1950's, Swain Hall served for many years as the primary athletics facility for Beaver basketball. When the MSU Dome was completed in the early 1980's, Swain Hall became primarily a practice facility for the men's and women's basketball teams. It also came to house football locker rooms, the athletic and student weight rooms and a few classrooms.
Swain Hall is currently undergoing a face lift to become Minot State's human performance center. The new Swain Hall will house 12 classrooms, 4 science labs and a pedagogy lab for physical education teacher.
Swain Hall will be the home of our new athletic training program, with facilities including: a wave pool with a treadmill, a tank for body mass measurement and a large athletic training room where students can hone their skills.
The building is scheduled for completion in August 2010 and will be fully in use by students by fall semester 2010.

The old gymnasium will no longer serve as a practice facility for athletic teams. It will instead be used for observation of student teachers. With a drop down projection screen and a large dividing screen, the pedagogy lab will serve as a hosting area for many conferences.
